Terms of Use

These Terms set out the rules for using SpotTap and creating a SpotTap account.

Acceptance

By creating a SpotTap account, using the SpotTap app, or using this website, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

Your account and responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your email and password secure.
  • You are responsible for activity through your account and device, including places, routes, notes, and material you create or share.
  • You must use SpotTap lawfully, respect privacy and property rights, and obtain consent required before recording, sharing, or publishing another person’s location or travel information.
  • You must not use SpotTap to stalk, harass, track another person without permission, evade law enforcement, interfere with the service, probe security, or transmit unlawful content.

Location and navigation disclaimer

SpotTap records user-requested location information. It is not a live navigation, emergency, dispatch, safety, or rescue service. Maps, GPS readings, routes, and timestamps may be inaccurate, unavailable, delayed, or incomplete. You remain responsible for your decisions, travel, safety, and compliance with law and property restrictions. Never rely on SpotTap where an error could cause injury, death, property loss, or legal harm.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant SpotTap and Nanrix Technologies the limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service. You must have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload, sync, or share.

Availability and changes

SpotTap may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features, including cloud sync, to maintain security, comply with law, or improve the service. Keep your own appropriate backups of important information. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent storage, or compatibility with every device or operating-system version.

Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpotTap is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties. Nanrix Technologies is not liable for loss, corruption, disclosure, inaccuracy, unavailability, or misuse of data; decisions made using the app; third-party services; or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination, updates, and contact

You may stop using SpotTap at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, security risk, legal exposure, or a breach of these Terms. These Terms are effective from 24 August 2026. We may update them by publishing a revised version here. Contact support@spottap.online with questions.
